FP&A Analyst | Hyper Growth Electric Vehicle Scale-Up | London / Hybrid

We are delighted to be working exclusively with an innovative, hyper growth Electric Vehicle (EV) scale-up business looking to revolutionise the way in which freight is transported by implementing their unique battery powered platform on an international scale.

This is an opportunity to work for an incredibly well funded business with impressive founders that foster a hugely entrepreneurial environment. The growth plans are extremely impressive, and the business expects to be bringing in a significant amount of funding over the next few years.

The company has raised over £250m in funding so far and is on the cusp of another huge raise with ambitions to go through a SPAC process at the end of the year. They are one of the first to market and has won numerous lucrative contracts with multiple big brands to facilitate their aggressive international growth plans.

Now they are looking to hire a top tier FP&A Analyst to support with commercial finance, continue to build the FP&A function, and support their continued expansion. The Role

Reporting to the Head of Commercial Finance, the FP&A Analyst - Manufacturing will be responsible for business partnering the Manufacturing and Operations teams, building tools and implementing processes for controlling manufacturing. The company is scaling rapidly so they are currently operating a lean team which means this role will be very hands on including month end processes, assisting with the monthly management accounts and working on high-level projects to help the business transition into a best-in-class finance function.

Responsibilities

  • Business partner the Manufacturing and Operations teams
  • Quickly and effectively implement tools and processes for tracking Manufacturing spend
  • Develop and implement Manufacturing business case and maintain status against forecast
  • Forecast and track headcount spend across the business
  • Lead regular commercial review sessions with Manufacturing and Operations leads focused on risks and opportunities
  • Review and approve purchase requisitions following corporate governance and delegated authorities
  • Preparation of ad-hoc analysis to modelling as required for agile decision making
  • Feed into the annual budget process and re-forecasting cycles
  • Monthly cashflow and P&L forecast vs actuals analysis

What we need to see (essential):

  • A recently qualified accountant
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team in the fast-paced and complex environment of a start-up
  • Knowledge of and experience in the automotive, engineering or high tech manufacturing sectors
  • Ability to engage with and challenge senior stakeholders when necessary
  • Entrepreneurial spirit, hands-on approach, practical and enthusiastic
  • Strong team player with good interpersonal skills
  • Well-developed modelling skills in Excel and other tools such as Power BI/Tableau

What we'd like to see (bonus):

  • Experience working in a rapidly scaling or start-up environment
  • Relevant business partnering experience

Salary: £55,000 - £60,000 + bonus + benefits
