Financial Controller - SME Creative Tech Business - London
Harmonic are delighted to be working with a well established creative tech SME based in London.
You will report into the CFO taking ownership of the finance function. The business is turning over £5million. You will be tasked with running the finance top to bottom, finalising processes and influencing the financial structure of the business.
The role sits in a team of three, and you'll be tasked with a number of both commercial & operational. Culturally the business is dynamic, good fun, and due to it's rapid growth they are attracting ambitious, intelligent people.
Key Responsibilities:
· Running and owning the month end process, adhering to tight deadlines
· Responsible for monthly management accounts and revenue reporting
· Responsible for Consolidated Accounts
· Balance sheet reconciliations (including bank postings)
· Payroll
· Driving improvement and efficiencies in financial processes to improve accuracy and reduce preparation time
· Running annual reporting, preparing audit files and associated schedules
· Budgeting and forecasting - taking the lead in budget management meetings with budget holders
· Business partnering with budget holders on a regular basis to assist with cost management, forecasting and the annual budget
· Monthly and quarterly tax and Vat returns
· Monthly P&L and balance sheet analysis with commentary
Requirements:
· Qualified CIMA, ACCA or ACA
· 3 years management accounting experience
· Strong communication
· Experience in fast paced business environment, working to tight deadlines
· Experience in consolidating accounts or ability to demonstrate the skill
· Advanced Excel skills
· Analytical thinking - ability to manage, simplify, interpret and analyse large amount of data
· Accuracy and attention to detail
What we need to see (essential):
- ACCA/CIMA qualified or PQ
- Strong excel skills
- Confident communication ability
- Experience within an SME
What we'd like to see (bonus):
- Experience within an agency
Salary: £60,000 - £70,000 / Open to 4 day a week candidates with a pro rata salary
