Finance Manager - Tech Consultancy Scale Up - Remote
Harmonic are delighted to partner with a rapidly growing Tech Scale up based in London. They have grown 100% in the last 12 months and have plans to continue on this rapid growth trajectory. The have a current revenue of £10mill and headcount of 70.
The Finance Manager is an important position within the finance department and plays a fundamental role in ensuring the business remains financially sound and maximises profitability, whilst also helping to develop effective strategies for future growth. This is a new role within the company, so there is a great deal of scope for improvement in processes and developing finance business models. The successful applicant will drive forward a new approach to project-based accounting and help to move the current accounting from Xero to Sage.

Responsibilities include:

Producing accurate revenue and cost forecasts, and helping manage cashflow

Provide accurate consolidated quarterly management accounts, to aid senior management with key strategic decisions

Ensuring that data has been recorded in accountancy software correctly

Conduct VAT analysis and returns
-
Pricing and margin analysis for IT projects
-
Insure accurate invoicing and credit control for IT projects
-
Working closely with the sales and project management teams, to ensure the financial accuracy of proposals and bids and to ensure business logic

Calculate quarterly sales commission

Working closely with senior management to enhance a cloud costing model for SaaS business proposals

Regular and specific cost analysis reports, such as for cloud hosting and staff costs

Review accounting processes and practices and improve where necessary to ensure efficient financial operations

Participate in and support with all audit queries
-
Support the successful preparation of consolidated accounts over three different business entities (UK, Netherlands and Japan). Aiding and reviewing the statutory accounts preparations across the entities

Assist in all areas of the day-to-day management of finance operations, deputise for the Finance Manager.
About you
Must haves:

CIMA / ACA / ACCA / ACMA Qualified (will consider experienced candidates who are part-qualified or QBE)

Good working knowledge of Sage accounting software

Advanced Microsoft Excel skills

Strong interpersonal skills and able to effectively communicate with people at all levels, both financial and non-financial

High level of accuracy, organisation and attention to detail

Strong commercial awareness and acumen

Comfortable and effective working remotely

Legal right to live and work in the UK without VISA sponsorship
