Finance Manager | Global Media Company | Central London

Harmonic are delighted to be partnering with a leading global media company helping with their search for a Finance Manager to join their team out of their Central London office. Turning over between £20-25mill, they operate as a full-service, creative, influencer marketing agency to support world-famous brands to connect with audiences at scale as well as creating entertainment formats for broadcast and digital platforms.

The Role:

Reporting directly to company directors the role is exceptionally broad, where you will be responsible for managing and reporting on all aspects of the company's finances. The role offers great exposure to working with senior management to develop business finance strategies as well as managing junior members of the finance team. The role offers a clear progression pathway to Financial Controller within 18-24 months.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Management of the company accounts and finances
  • Financial transaction management (revenue and margin) of revenue streams within the business
  • Business partner with the wider teams to ensure the numbers reported are a true representation
  • Month end journals, accrued/deferred revenue, accruals, and prepayments
  • Revenue recognition (accounting treatment of revenue and impact of deliverables)
  • Cash flow forecasts
  • Identify and implement improvements to the Financial Control environment
  • Monthly management account information
  • Monthly balance sheet reconciliations for balance sheet codes
  • Mentorship of the Finance Assistant
  • Ad-hoc FP&A for the Finance Director

What We Need to See (Essential Skills):

  • ACCA / ACA / CIMA Qualified
  • Media / Creative Agency experience
  • 1-2 years' experience in a Finance Manager (or similar) role
  • MS Excel proficient
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
  • Good all-rounder, proactive, team player

What We Would Like to See (Bonus Skills):

  • Salesforce / Xero experience
  • Experience creating statutory accounts

Start Date: ASAP

Salary: £50,000 - £60,000

Location: Central London / Hybrid
