Finance Manager | Fast growth Hospitality Business | London / Hybrid

Harmonic are proud to be working on an exclusive basis with one of London's most exciting hospitality business on the hire of a Finance Manager to join a quickly expanding team.

Only a few years into their journey our client has the backing of a major FTSE investor and with it have been able to scaleup to a team of 7. This role is newly created and is in response to their growth which has also seen turnover in the past 12 months go from c. £35 million to now being on track to deliver c.£50 million in the next 12 months. The plans for continuing Y-o-Y growth go further and the aim of this role is to hire a commercially focused Finance Manager who is keen to growth with the business.

The role will oversee the day-to-day running of the finance piece which will include management responsibilities over 2 finance assistants who will be able to support with the transactional finance. Working alongside the senior finance team, you will also oversee the commercial finance piece with a focus on the management of the budget and forecasting cycles as working on various commercial proposal for new contracts won as well as finance models and new projects to further support their growth plans.

Based out of Holborn, our client are based in modern offices in a very vibrant part of town which is surrounded by nice restaurants and bars. Currently they come into the office on a hybrid basis so this role will offer some work from home (2 days per week). The culture of the team is non-corporate and creative, they are focused on growth but also regularly host socials and team event - which make it a fun and inclusive place to work!

The role

Reporting into the Finance Controller, this role will have ownership of:

  • Full ownership of the preparation of the monthly management accounts
  • Providing performance analysis of the management accounts to track the commercial performance of the company.
  • Variance analysis of the budgets vs actuals
  • Ownership of the month-end, year-end, and statutory reporting for multiple entities
  • Identify existing and potential future inefficiencies within the finance function and work as part of the senior finance leadership team on best practice
  • Support with build out of robust finance models and commercial forecasts for achieving future growth
  • Support with KPIs and key metrics that the business are looking to work to
  • Mentor 2 finance assistants and oversee the transactional finance function, ensuring all ledgers are tidy: debts are regularly chased, key suppliers are paid on time, banks are reconciled, and all purchase invoices are accurate.
  • Business Partner with Sales, Marketing, and Operations teams to better understand the numbers and drive performance/ improved decision making

What we need to see (Essential):

  • Finalist or Qualified (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
  • Excellent Communicator
  • Strong technical Skills
  • Strong commercial acumen
  • Willingness to roll your sleeves up and get stuck into the detail

What we would like to see :

  • Industry experience i.e. Retail, Real Estate, Hospitality, leisure, construction
  • Commercially astute and able to build relationships with non-Finance stakeholders
  • Understanding of contract agreements / bids and tenders would be beneficial

Salary: £45,000 to £55,000 + study support + hybrid
