Finance Assistant | Hyper-Growth Cosmetics Business | North London (Hybrid)

The client

Harmonic are excited to be working exclusively with one of the cosmetic industry's recent success stories in their search for a Finance Assistant to join their growing team in North London. Being founded in 2018, they have recently received Series-B funding from a leading private equity firm, with their 2022 target of £30million turnover being exceeded by the end of the second quarter, marking a 500% increase on the same period last year.

Specialising in pioneering gender-neutral grooming products, our client aims to transform the way all consumers view and use their cosmetic appliances. With our client's C-level executives having extensive experience in the industry, they are already challenging their established competitors; recently winning prestigious awards against the cosmetic world's biggest players.

Being based in a net-zero emissions building in heart of a vibrant North London community, they have a substantial business-to-business client base across the South-East of England, and a significant online presence across Europe, with ambitions to tap into the North American market in 2023.

The role

You will be responsible for the essential core tasks of a growing finance department, assisting junior colleagues, while providing essential support for the Finance Director and C-level individuals, who in turn act as exceptional mentors. This role is perfect for someone wanting to kick-start their finance career, with unlimited progression available to the successful candidate.

Responsibilities include

• Ownership of daily transactional finance
• Supporting the AP/AR teams
• Credit control
• Reviewing P+L figures
• Processing invoices
• Monitoring finance inbox
• Daily communication with key stakeholders
• Control of weekly payment runs
• Aiding the Finance Manager with ad-hoc duties

Essential qualities

• 1+ year industry experience working with AR, AP or purchase ledger teams
• Ambitious to progress within finance-based roles
• Proven experience in fast-paced working environments
• Experience using accounting software
• Excited by the cosmetics industry
• Excellent communication skills

Desirable qualities

• Desire to study towards ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualifications
• Experience in the cosmetics industry

Benefits

• Salary: £28,000 to £35,000 with guaranteed above CPI annual increases
