We are proud to be working with a rapidly growing TV business with interests in the production and broadcasting space - helping them to recruit a Finance Analyst/FP&A Analyst.

The Client

Our client has ambitions to be one of the major players in the TV and Broadcasting space, with visionary founders and investors, they are in a fantastic position to become a major player in the market.

Despite operating for around 2 years, the business is profitable and has a Turnover of £35m. There are around 50 employees and the company is looking to scale quickly year-on-year, this presents a fantastic opportunity to get in at a pivotal moment in their growth journey and have a significant role in scaling the business.

The business is known for their flat-structure, agile working environment and dynamic workplace. They operate a hybrid working from home model and the culture is fun, energetic and non-corporate.

The Role

In terms of the role, as the Finance Analyst you will be working closely with a talented Finance Director who has an excellent track record in mentoring colleagues. You will be responsible for overseeing much of the budgeting, financial planning and strategic analysis for the company. This will consist of business partnering with different departments on their budgets as well as partnering with Senior Executives on business plans and initiatives.

This is the ideal role for someone looking to forge a career within Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) or Commercial Finance as it will offer unrivalled exposure to the commercial and financial strategy. As the business is scaling, there will be ample opportunities to grow and develop.

Responsibilities

  • Work with the Finance Director to build the budgets.
  • Assist with forecasting and reforecasting.
  • Business partner with other departments to set, track and manage budget against performance.
  • Monitor cashflow forecasting and tracking revenue.
  • Assist in strategic analysis to help build cases for business decisions and initiatives.
  • Ad-hoc duties supporting the Finance Director.

What we need to see (essential)

  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Strong Excel skills.
  • ACCA, CIMA or ACA studier.
  • Exposure to budgeting/business partnering.

What we would like to see (bonus)

  • Previous experience working in a finance role within the TV & Film sector.

Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 plus study support
