BI Director | PE Backed SaaS Scale-Up | London / Remote

We are proud to be working on an exclusive basis with one of Europe's most exciting SaaS scale-ups. Having received significant investment from one of the world's leading PE funds the company has grown by acquisition giving it a healthy growth trajectory and impressive leadership team.

The company operates across the UK, US and Europe with more than 100 hires planned for this year across the business and having perfected their software offering by combining the joint power of several acquired competitors they are starting to take their B2B niche by storm. They aim to more than double revenue over the next few years to make them a leading global player in their space.

The culture is professional but relaxed as they empower their employees to self-manage and take their skills to the next level. The leadership are impressive with a vast amount of experience yet a youthful approach to working. They are looking to bring in a talented, up and coming BI Director to help the wider company utilise data in a meaningful way.

The international nature of the company means that traveling between offices will be an option to anyone that wishes to, but they offer a totally remote working environment to suit every circumstance.

The Role

The BI Director will be responsible for building and managing the entire BI function from its current state to a highly functioning company-wide department. Focusing on delivering real value to the business with insights that drive growth and improved decisions it requires someone who can oversee the build out of the 'Data Warehouse' and think strategically about how BI should be structured and partner with the wider business

Ultimately bringing Data to life, the BI Director will drive a culture of Data. They will play an integral role in communicating and helping the teams by providing insights and information that will assist their day-to-day decision making thus stakeholder management and partnering is key - the company is trying to make data more accessible to non-data people across the business so guiding your existing team to deliver this will be key.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with the leadership team to define and streamline the data strategy
  • Become the point of contact for insights and business analytics that span across
  • departments
  • Evangelize data usage by establishing processes, documentation, training and
  • accessible tooling
  • Coordinate + execute to deliver an overall coherent and consistent data architecture that
  • integrate multiple data sources

Required Experience:

  • Previously experience in senior Data / BI role with proven experience of building BI teams
  • Experience working in a high growth environment and building / shaping the data function
  • Strong level of commercial awareness and ability to identify opportunities through business analysis
  • Strong communication skills and excellent stakeholder management skills
  • Strong technical experience working with multiple data sources, e.g., snowflake, bigquery etc.
  • Enjoys working in a fast-paced environment
  • An individual who enjoys being "hands on"
  • Love creating information and insights from Data

Bonus Experience:

  • Experience in a Tech scale-up business
  • Hands-on experience with data and able to speak with technical people on a high level
  • Experience using snowflake and bigquery beneficial

Salary: £110,000 - £130,000 + benefits

Location: London / remote
