Assistant Management Accountant + Study Support | FTSE listed hospitality company | hybrid

Harmonic are delighted to be working with a FTSE Listed hospitality business on the hire of an Assistant Management Accountant to join their team as they continue to grow their market share.

This global business is an industry leader and is the gold standard for the quality of their service level and quality of their products which are the envy of the industry. Working alongside some of the most prestigious businesses in London to provide luxury dining and hospitality experiences you'll be joining a team with some of the most exclusive and robust contracts across the UK and international scene. This role sits with one of the most prestigious accounts the business has and works closely with the core finance team as well as external client to business partner on delivering commercial success and future growth to the business.

My client is well regarded for supporting career progression and internal promotion so in the mid-term offers the opportunity to progress in other areas of the business and pick up increased exposure. This role also comes equipped with a full study support package (exams paid for, materials paid for and study days) so as well as picking up more commercial responsibilities they will also support with studies.

This role would suit candidates who are commercially driven or want to take their career down a commercial path but have a good handle on transactional finance (Accounts Payable / Accounts Receivable / Finance assistant type roles). This role will support in taking your career to the next stage in developing your understanding of management accounts and ultimately, we are looking for candidates who have future ambitions to be Finance Business Partners. The team are incredibly bright and collaborative and have a dynamic and inclusive working culture.

The role:

The Assistant Management Accountant will support the Finance Manager and Finance Businesses Partners with:

• Support both financial and non-financial stakeholders (such as General Managers) with building out strong commercial controls
• Analysing operational risks and identifying areas for potential growth and development
• Support Finance Manager and Finance Business Partners during meetings with stakeholders at key client sights
• Month end reporting and focus on developing accurate management information reports
• Balance sheet reviews and analysis
• Support with the budget and forecasting cycles
• Variance analysis - looking at budget's vs actual spend

What our client need to see (essential):

• Studying AAT or CIMA or ACCA
• Excellent Communication
• Desire to learn and progress career quickly
• Strong Excel skills
• Strong analytical skills and presentation skills

What we would like to see (bonus):

• Multi-site experience
• Hospitality or food experience
• Experience with SAP or Cognos would be advantageous

Salary: Up to £35,000 + study support + hybrid working

Start date: ASAP

Location: Central London (2 days in office)
