Harmonic Finance are delighted to be working on an exclusive basis with a Private Equity backed multi-site gaming retailer in their search for a driven Assistant Finance Director to run their finance team. This is a fantastic opportunity to join an entrepreneurial and dynamic business in a role which will very much be a key decision maker with the C-Suite with opportunities of progression.

With a headcount of 400 people, this is a profitable and nationally recognised company with a turnover of £36M (with a corresponding fantastic Ebitda) and 60% growth year on year. The business has 50+ entertainment venues and as an independent operator, they're not a manufacturer and not tied to any one brand, so we're able to offer the widest selection offerings to their customers. Having gained national recognition for their high-quality service the business is looking to build on this success.

Alongside their national recognition the business has a huge focus on collaboration and communication which has resulted in a positive working environment where decisions are made with long-term horizons. The company office space has been strategically located in the heart of London location to align with the company's culture, and lifestyle.

In this position, you will be driving the financial success of the company. Working closely with the CEO, CFO, COO to manage a growing team, you will have a huge impact on the way the company is run.

The role is based in central London with a 4-5 day in office working approach, this will enhance the current growing working culture.

Requirements:

  • ACA, CIMA or ACCA qualified
  • Recent experience in a multi-site business, ideally with a strong experience dealing with cash collection.
  • Experience of working with cross functional teams and multiple stakeholders
  • Good understanding of the macro-economic environment, and corresponding ability to influence company strategy accordingly.
  • Strong understanding of statutory / compliance.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills with proven success of building high-performing diverse and inclusive teams.
  • Understanding of delivering transformational change to business processes and/or technologies and acquisition implementation.
  • Responsible for the group financial accounting, reporting and consolidations
  • Responsible for managing group consolidation, monthly board pack and year end board pack report
  • Balance sheet consolidation and P&L consolidation at UK level
  • Business partnering with GMs on budgets and finance models related to P&L
  • Liaising with the external auditors to ensure the audit process is strictly adhered to the agreed timetable. Responsibilities for improvements for any areas affected under supervision and improvements in controls to avoid this in future
  • Consolidating Balance Sheets and P&L for multiple properties under IFRS 16

Bonus skills:

  • Relevant product knowledge or industry experience
  • Experience of reviewing IT systems
  • Broad range of management experience in other areas - HR, Systems, Facilities

Renumeration

Basic Salary: £85,000 - £100,000

Start date: ASAP
