Assistant Accountant (6 Month FTC) | International Live Events Business | London

Harmonic are delighted to be working exclusively alongside one of the fastest growing live entertainment businesses in the search for an Assistant Accountant, on a 6 month fixed term contract.

With a strong international presence, this multi-faceted company has gone from strength to strength over the last decade. Post Covid, the business has continued to scale with demand for live events increasing massively. With some of the biggest names in comedy, music and TV&Film, this is truly one of the most exciting live entertainment businesses in the world.

Promoting and organising over 2,000 shows a year, the events range from music concerts, festivals and club shows. Located in an exciting and dynamic office space in central London, this values led organisation are keen to add an outward facing personality who loves working in a team. Due to the nature of the organisation, the role offers fantastic exposure to different parts of the business, with room for development and future progression.

The Role:

In a team of strong finance professionals, this role reports into a Senior Finance Manager who places a high emphasis on mentoring and development. Offering fantastic exposure to the live entertainment space, this hybrid working role is a fantastic opportunity for candidates with a love of being immersed in the creative arts.

With diversity and inclusion at the heart of this values led business, this is a role that will work alongside a senior finance manager and closely with a general ledger accountant. You will be responsible for assisting with project reconciliation work in line with the growing demand for live events. This will be a great opportunity for candidates that can hit the ground running with the role to have real influence in the success of the department.

Duties:

• Reconciliations of multiple artists shows
• Project, Cost and Revenue reconciliations
• Provide support to investigate and resolve project variances
• Assisting general ledger accountant with various ad hoc tasks

What we need to see (essential):

• Strong knowledge of debits, credits and journal postings
• Analytical, problem solving mindset
• Strong Excel skills

What we need to see (beneficial):

• Bank reconciliation experience
• Music industry background

Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 + great bonus and industry perks
