    Finance Manager (part-time) | Leading opthalmic surgical group Harmonic Finance are proud to be have been engaged on a retained basis by a leading private healthcare provider.
    Led by a collective of award-winning Ophthalmic surgeons, the business was formed in May 2018 following the merger of three independent Harley Street practices. And is now regarded as the UK's leading clinic for Laser Eye surgery provision. Anticipated turnover for year one is £3.2-3.5 million.

    The successful candidate will work either a circa 24 hour working week comprised of either a 3 day week, or a 5 day week of 4.8hr days.
    The role

    As the first internal Finance recruit for the business, the role represents an exceptional opportunity for an ambitious part-qualified accountant to have significant impact upon shaping the fortunes of what will be an extremely fast-growing and high-profile business.

    Based from state-of-the-art offices within walking distance of Goodge Street and Oxford Circus, the successful candidate will join a culture where colleagues have a great respect for intellect and professionalism (candidates will be working with some of the world's brightest and best after all) but who also promote a great sense of fun!

    Working alongside an experienced Operations and Business Development team, applicants will be required to display a willingness to support the business on several fronts: from commercial finance, statutory reporting, P&L production through to less-glamorous transactional and operational duties as required.

    Please note that applications will be considered from candidates who may wish to work a 4 day week, or slightly reduced hours over 5 days.


    * Production of monthly Management Accounts and the P&L. * Business partnering with the shareholders and clinicians to ensure 'best in class' financial analysis, forecasting and budgeting. * Configuration of Xero (supported by outsourced accountancy practice) * Production of the VAT return, P11d's etc. * Ownership of low-volume transactional finance tasks (AR/AP etc.). * Oversee staff payroll (supported by external accountancy practice). * Review of costs and investment to drive efficiencies and economies of scale to support business growth. What we need to see (Essential)
    * Part-qualified ACCA/CIMA status (study process ongoing rather than halted). * Confident and cogent verbal and written communication skills. * At least two years' experience in a Management Accountant or Finance Manager role in a business with a turnover in excess of £2 million.
    What we'd like to see (Non-essential)
    * Experience of working within Private or Public healthcare. * Hands-on experience of the Xero accounting system. * Past experience of scaling and managing a small team.

    Recruitment process
    * Face-to-face interview with Charlie Walker (Harmonic Managing Director) followed by a twostage interview process on the client premises.
    £50-60,000 pro rata + study support + performance-related bonus.
